Students love the term "break", as in a break after a seemingly endless lecture, or even better, Spring Break. Well, guess what? Teachers like Spring Break too. No, we're not going to some exotic vacation spot; I am not about to lose my hard-earned status as the superstar of the "I Have No Life Club." However, Spring Break does give Devvie and me a chance to catch up grading assignments and tests, and plan the rest of the semester, which surprisingly is half over. No new pictures of the dogs on the Genghis Khent website. Micaela (the white Italian Greyhound) sprained her back leaping. She's fine now. However, my wallet still hasn't recovered from the animal emergency hospital and vet bills. Had it been my back that got sprained, Devvie would have taken one look at the cost and had me put to sleep. OK, enough of my carping.
