Accessing Your Class' Website on ETUDES NG

1. Configure your Browser

The ETUDES NG Portal has links under All Faculty & Student Users for issues such as browsers, cache settings, Java and JavaScript, and pop-up blockers. Please follow the instructions at those links. Don't skip these steps; you may experience a lot of needless frustration if you do.

2. Login

All of our classes, online or traditional, are on ETUDES NG.

If you're already enrolled (and allow up to 2 business days for your enrollment to reach ETUDES NG), you can access your class via the following steps. If you are not already enrolled, or just enrolled so that your enrollment may not have reached ETUDES NG, then go to part 3, Viewing (no log in).

A. Go to the ETUDES NG Portal.

B. Log in with your student identification number and password. (You won't be able to log in if you haven't enrolled in any class using ETUDES NG).

i. You obtain your student ID from the college. It's not your social security number. Please see the college's FAQ. Your ETUDES NG log-in ID consists of the first two letters of your first name, followed by the first two letters of your last name, followed by the last five digits of your Student ID. So if your name was Genghis Khent, and your student ID was 88-935- 6024, your login ID would be gekh56024.

ii.  If you are new to ETUDES NG, your default password is 4 digits. The first 2 digits represents the month of your birth, the second 2 digits the day of your birth. If the month of your birth is between January and September, put a 0 in front of the digit. Similarly, if the day of your birth is between 1 and 9, put a 0 in front of it. Examples:

January 1 - 0101

May 17 - 0517

November 5 - 1105

December 25 - 1225

Please change this password as soon as possible. To do so:

a. Click My Workspace on the top menu.

b. Click Account on the left menu.

c. Click the Modify Details button.

d. Type your new password (something you can remember) in the Create New Password box and then confirm it in the Verify New Password box.

e. Click the Update Details button.

3. You should see on the top menu a tab for each class in which you are enrolled that has a website on ETUDES NG. Click that tab to enter your class' website.

3. Viewing (no log in)

If you are not already enrolled, or just enrolled so that your enrollment may not have reached ETUDES NG, then you can still view our syllabus and other publicly available information by the following steps:

A. Go to the ETUDES NG Portal.

B.  Click Sites in the left menu bar.

C. Type COS followed by the number of your class in the Search for box. For example, if you are looking for Devvie's CSIT 895 class, type COS 895. (Remember you have to use COS instead of CSIT).

D. Click the Search for Sites button.

E.  A results page will appear. Click the link to the class whose information you wish to view.
